For years, The Brownstone Class was open to anyone who wanted to train. That openness helped build a supportive and diverse community—actors with all kinds of backgrounds, some with experience, many without, but all drawn to the work.
As the class has grown, so has our responsibility to protect it. This is a space for actors training seriously for the screen. Every week, we hold the room to a standard: focus, emotional truth, and craft that holds up under the camera. Yes, students walk away with footage. But we’re not a reel service, and we’re not a shortcut. Footage comes as a result of the work, not in place of it.
We’re building a new kind of training model; one that values process over polish, depth over tricks, and truth over ego. That only works when the room is aligned. That’s why we now require new students to submit an application before joining.
Remember, you don’t need credits to train here. You don’t need a résumé. You just need to be ready to show up with seriousness, humility, and curiosity. If that sounds like you, apply. We’d love to meet you.
